Garlands House
Constructed in the early 1900s, the main house at Garlands was built for the local doctor, who both lived and worked here. The downstairs portion of The Boat Shed was originally used as the practice surgery, whilst the doctor’s assistant lived upstairs.
The house was designed by famous architect and resident of Beer, David Carr, a member of the renowned Carr’s Biscuits family.
